Ogden – Norma Barton Warren, age 88, died December 28, 2009 in Ogden. She was born October 14, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Edgar M. and Flavilla Tuft Barton. She graduated from West High in SLC. Norma married Benjamin Thomas Warren on May 8, 1941; their marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1958.
Norma was a member of the Monroe Branch of the LDS Church. She served as a Service Missionary for the Bishop's Storehouse in Ogden, was a visiting teacher and Relief Society Pres. She was a resident of Fellowship Manor in Ogden.
She worked for Sierra Lingerie and Dee's Family Restaurant. Norma enjoyed painting, doll making, gardening, needle point work, traveling, dancing, reading and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed life!
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her four sons and two daughters: Norma and Wayne McGee of San Antonio, TX, Jane and Ray Clark of Hooper, UT, Steven and Judy Warren of Clear Lake, MN, Brian and Jan Warren, Ogden, UT, Thomas Warren of NV, Donald and Darlene Warren of CA; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; sister Beth Bell of Orem, UT; daughter-in-law Darlene Niebuhr of Bountiful and a special friend Lester Hartsock.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. where friends may call prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment will be in Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
