Mrs. Renee Gabrielle Thomas Terry, 87, of Columbus, passed away on Dec. 31, 2009, at the Cogburn Rehabilitation and Health Center in Huntsville, Ala. Services were Saturday at Friendship Cemetery, with Father Robert Dore officiating. Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Terry was born Feb. 27, 1922, in Calais, France, to the late Gabriel and Augusta Thomas. During World War II, she married American serviceman Clinton S. Terry of Courtland, Ala. They moved to Columbus in 1948 and she lived there until her death. She retired from Seminole Manufacturing Co. after 25 years in the office. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Simone and her husband of 43 years. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Anne Holmes, of Huntsville, Ala.; granddaughter, Patricia Anne (Matt) King, of Arlington, Tenn.; grandson, Michael Brenton (Amy) Lancaster, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and great-grandchildren Renee and Andrew King, and Blake and Emma Kate Lancaster. Pallbearers were Brent Lancaster, Matt King, Bill Lancaster, Bob Lancaster, Bob Raymond and Dick Mahoney.
