Sophia's name was not spelled with the traditional Italian spelling "Sofia" despite what her obituary says. It is spelled correctly in the obituary of her husband Antimo. My grandmother, Sofia Carola (1920-2009), confirmed to me that she was named after Sophia but her parents chose the traditional Italian version. - Chris
