Velma P. Critchlow, 84 of William Flyn Highway, Harrisville, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at here residence in St. Cloud, FL born Oct. 17, 1921, in Harrisville,, she was the daughter of the late Roy F. and Mary A. Hockenberry Michael. Mrs. Critchlow was a co-owner with her late husband, Dean, on the family farm. She was a member of the Harrisville United Church. She was also a life member of the Wesley Grange where she was Past Master, the Pomona Grange and State and National Grange.

Mrs. Ctitchlow was a former 4_H leader, a member of National Camping Travelers and Pine Grove Rangers. She was a Past Worth High Priestess of Grove City White Shrine of Jerusalem #53 and a member of Grove City Order of Eastern Star #86. During high school, she was a member of the Harrisville High School basketball team. She was a former St. Cloud, Fla. queen Mrs. Critchlow was married Oct. 28, 1939, to Dean E. Critchlow, who preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1994.

She is survived by five daughters, Rita P. Kennedy and her husband James of Valencia, Sondra Buchanan and her husband Clifford of Harrisville, Mary Sue Steele and her husband Robert of Slippery Rock, Tracey Knox and her husband Jeffery of Grove City and Brenda Leslie and her husband David of Connoquenessing; two sons, Lynn Critchlow and his wife Judy of Grove City and Paul Critchlow Sr. and his wife Sandy of Harrisville; 23 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mildred Smith of Harrisville; and two brothers, James Michael of Grove City and George Michael of Cortland, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Crtichlow was preceded in death by a son, John W. Critchlow; an infant daughter; and two brothers, Harold and Norman Michael. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Additional viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Harrisville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with theRev. Jeffrey T. St. Clair officiating. Interment will be in Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
