Howard E. Wood, 88, passed away Nov. 11, 2001. Survived by his wife, Iris W.(nee: Dinwiddle) Wood of the family home; daughter, Peggy Ard of Pueblo; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilber E. and Jessie M. Wood; and twin children, Dian Jo(Wood) Martin and Donald Howard Wood. Howard was a devoted family man and avid sports fan. He retired from the C&W Railway Company where he worked as road master, and was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. At his request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Rev. Lonnie James officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association Parent Project through the funeral home.
