She was born on October 23, 1941 in Demopolis, Alabama to the late Edward Lynch Sr. and Leota Fenderson-Lynch. She had been a resident of Stratford for more than 30 years. Mary was last employed by Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. She was a member of East End Baptist Tabernacle Church of Bridgeport for many years.
Mary enjoyed fishing, playing cards with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the casino.
Survivors include two daughters; Patricia Johnson and Daphne Adams of Stratford, Two sons, Arlington Johnson and Stacy Dillard of Stratford and a host of grand and great grand children. Five sisters, Nevada Lynch and Abbie Lynch of Stratford; Delia Wilson-Miller and husband Kevin of Arizona; Barbara Esposito of Florida; Debra Lee of Georgia, Three brothers, W.C. Lynch and wife Mozella of Ohio; Terry Lynch of West Haven and Joseph Grayer of Illinois and a host of nieces and nephews, and her close and dearest friend, Juanita Spillane of Stratford.
Predeceased by her mother, Leota Lynch, father, Edward Lynch Sr., three sisters Gertrude Jones Doris Hale, and Bernice Bowen; two brothers, Edward Lynch Jr. and Tony Lynch.
Services were Tuesday, December 29 2009 at 11:00 am at East End Baptist Church located at 548 Central Avenue, Bridgeport CT, and Interment at Mountain Grove Cemetery Easton.
