Born in Hardin County, Feb. 15, 1902, he was the son of Mort and Nannie Miller Gossard.
Mr. Gossard was a retired employee of Kroger Company. He was a member of Sugar Creek Church of the Brethren.
Survivors are his wife, Hettie; five sons, Albert W. of 304 Columbia Dr., Norman G. of 708 S. Glenwood, Donald M. of Cleveland, Richard W. of 2385 N. West Rd. and Russell C. of 2223 Carolina Ave.; four daughters, Mrs. Norman (Odessa Mae) Kimble of San Francisco, Mrs. Edwin (Melvine) Wurster of Celina, Mrs. Thomas (Marjorie Steiner of Worthington and Mrs. Russell (Nancy) Loescher of 2990 Loescher Rd.; one step-son Frederick E. Rakestraw, Rochester, Ind.; three step-daughters; Mrs. Ward (Jeannie) Faoro of Los Angeles, Mrs. Edwin (Helen) Mitchell of Red Bank, N.J., and Mrs. John (Netty) Woods of Redding, a.; 14 step-grandchildren, two great grandchidren, four brothers, Miller of 3700 St. Johns Rd., Leland of Galion, Eugene of 1109 Melrose and Clair of Lynchburg, and four sisters, Miss Cecil Gossard of 748 W. High, Mrs. Irene Scheelleyl of Sidney, Mrs. Ruth Pratte of South Xenia, and Mrs. Lucille Maier , 811 E. Third.
Services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday at Chiles and Sons-Lamon West Wayne Street Chapel, with Rev. Willis Stehman officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
