Michael Glenn Turner, 43, of Uncertain passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009. Michael Glenn Turner was born on Dec. 20, 1966, in Marshall to Roy Glen Turner and Patte Sue Crothers Turner. On Nov. 9, 1989, he married Susan Mary Marsh.
He was owner and operator of Shade Tree Marine in Uncertain. He was a member of the Church of Uncertain and the Elks Lodge. Michael was a lifetime member of the Whitetails Unlimited and a member of the Ducks Unlimited. He was also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Michael Turner was the Assistant Fire Chief of Uncertain Fire Department and a member of the Caddo Lake Spray Team of Cypress Valley Navigation District. He was also a member of Sigma Pi and the Caddo Lake Water Board. He loved working on his family trees and on Find-A-Grave.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Turner; daughter, Patte Turner; grandfather, Charles Glover all of Uncertain; brother, Billy Huddleston of Duncan, Okla.; uncle and aunts, David and Barbara Crothers of La., Margarite Crothers of Georgetown and Betsy Moreland of Homer, Louisiana; and numerous cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank Beacon Hospice for the care given to Michael during his last days. Michael was a very special person. Everyone loved him when they met him. He really loved life. He loved his wife, Susan, and daughter, PatteG. He was so proud of them. Michael will always be with each of us. He wasn't a person to be forgotten.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at the Church of Uncertain. Michael was cremated and his ashes will be put in many places, where his ancestors were laid before him. There will be a marker put near his mother, Pattie Sue Crothers Turner and his grandmother, Bessie Mae Baucum Crothers.
