"Mrs. Berta M. Brecht, aged 35 years, wife of George L. Brecht, died at the residence, 511 West Cherry Street Friday morning, January 19 at 1 o'clock, after a brief illness.
Besides her husband she is survived by one brother, Emmitt Gillespie of this city. Mrs. Brecht was a member of the Plain Grove Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held from her late home, Monday, January 22, at 1 pm. In charge of services is Rev Stevenson of the Plain Grove M.E. church. Interment will be made in Graceland cemetery."
