Mr. Allen died at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital in Alameda CA after a short illness. Born in Oklahoma in 1938, he had lived in Suisun City CA for eight years. He retired from the US Navy with 21 years of service and was a member of the Tri-City Elks #1662 of Fairfield and the Knights of Pythias of Vallejo.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Suisun City; daughters, Sherron Walker of Fresno, Diana Randolph of Sacramento; sons, Roosevelt Allen of Oakland, Hubert and Anthony Allen, both of Fresno, Gregory Allen of Sacramento; father, Sammie Allen of Oakland; sisters, Linda Zeigler, Emma Sanford and Elva Sanford, all of Oklahoma; brothers, John and David Allen of Altadena, Ronnie Allen of Oklahoma; and 10 grandchildren.
Services were held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee officiating.
