Mrs. Helen Dixon Dies Tuesday, Aged 35
Mrs. Helen Dixon, well known resident of this city, died at her home on Locust Street on Tuesday morning at nine o'clock following an illness of six months' duration. Death was due to complication of diseases.
Mrs. Dixon was born in DuBois, March 13, 1904, daughter of Zane W. Bloom and Mary A. Muldoon Bloom and resided her entire life in DuBois, where she was well and favorably known. Word of her death will be received with deep regret by a wide circle of friends. She was a devout member of the Evangelical church and a member of the Missionary Society and of the church choir.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Dixon, two daughters, Barbara and Nancy Rae; mother, Mrs. Mary A. Bloom, of DuBois; three brothers, Clair, of Aliquippa; Paul, of Akron, Ohio, and Glenn at home; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Benedict, of Mechen, W. Va.; Mrs. Avonell Hockenberry, of Punxsutawney, and Lorraine, at home.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at four o'clock from the bereaved hyome at 510 Locust street, with Rev. P. B. Baer officiating. Interment will follow in the Rumbarger cemetery.
