Edwin is the son of Henry & Mary Jane (Ross) Austin. He was born in Canada and came to Niagara County NY in 1862. He married the former Sarah Jane Stover on February 11, 1867 in the former Dickersonville Methodist Church on Route 104 in the Town of Lewiston. They had 7 children; H. taylor, Edwin 'Ed', Charles, William H., Minnie, Jennie & Harriett. Edwin was a farmer and had his home on Dickersonville Road between schoolhouse & Langdon. His death certificate is on file with the town of Porter clerks office, a copy is with his Great-Granddaughter-in-Law. A Book about his life was compiled by Grace (Crewe) Austin and ready for the 1st ever AUSTIN reunion in August 2000.
