Frankie Dean Allen, son of Leonard and Virgie (Stewart) Allen was born September 1, 1928 Galena, Mo., and departed this life Friday, November 30, 1990 in St John's Regional Health Center at the age of 82 years, two months, and 29 days. Frankie was married to Martha Dye December 30, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio and had been a resident of the area for the past 30 year coming from Chicago, Illinois Frankie was a veteran of the United States Army from 1947 to 1963 he was a member of American Legion 1960; lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, VFW for three years, Scout Master with Boy Scouts of America from 1972-1976, and was Assistant Scout Master prior to 1972. Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Dewey Allen and one sister, Florence Cummings. Survivors include his wife, Martha Allen of Crane, Mo.; one son, Roger Allen of Crane, Mo.; three daughters, Jeanette Burleson of Phoenix, Arizona, Brenda Yee of Glendale, Arizona, and Melody Gripka of Sarcoxie, Mo.; three brothers, James Allen of Bolivar, Mo., Jack Allen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Bill Allen of Louisville, Kentucky; five sisters, Gladys Maley and Bonnie Hackett both of Columbus, Ohio, Joan Cook of North Richland Hills, Texas, Pauline Woods of Springfield, Mo., and Beverly Roberts of Schertz, Texas; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Crystal, Kimberly, Heather, Kristin, Christopher, Marrisa, and Brandon and a host of friends. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 4 in Scholten Church of Christ with Neal Michael and Cecil Harris officiating. Burial was in Crane Community Cemetery under the direction of Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, Mo.
