McGUFFEY - Mrs. Nettie DeLong, 73, died at 2:08 a.m. Sunday in Lima Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Born July 22, 1893, in Illinois, she was a daughter of William and Lula Brown Dean. Her husband, Harry, died in 1964.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alice Kathryn Gullett of McGuffey and Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Potts of Oakwood; one son, Harold of Greencastle, Ind.; one foster son, Harold Dale Cummin of McGuffey; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Susie Busse, Mrs. Viola Pifer and Mrs. Josephine Cortwright, all of Pekin, Ill., and four brothers, James Dean of Delvin, Ill., Caesar and Berl Dean, both of Green Valley, Ill., and Jack Dean of Pekin, Ill.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hanson Funeral Home, Alger, Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
