OBITUARIE:
Mrs. Mary Alice Sticklin, 88, died early Tuesday in a Centralia hospital following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 9, 1883, in Marysville, Iowa, and was the daughter of C.B. and Mary Quick, pioneers who came west from Iowa and settled near Chehalis in 1885. She was married to the late C.L. Sticklin in 1903 and with him aided four generations of the family in the operation of funeral homes in Chehalis and Centralia. In earlier years they operated establishments in Tenino and Olympia. Survivors include two sons, C.M. Sticklin, Chehanlis and Louis J. Sticklin, Centralia; a brother, Harold Quick, Chehalis, 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Private family services were held Tuesday afternoon at Greenwood Memorial Park, Centralia, with the Rev. Robert R. Marquis officiating.
