Charles Burris

ALGER - Services for Charles Burris, 57, of Alger, will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Hanson Funeral Home, Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.

Mr. Burris died at 11 p.m. Thursday in Lima Memorial Hospital following a six-year illness. He was born Dec. 28, 1910, in Hardin County, the son of Charles and Mattie Armentrout Burris.

Surviving are his wife, Cleah; five sons, Richard of Sandusky, Robert of Oxford, Idaho, Douglas of Alger, Jerry with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and Richie, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Karen Kindle, Mrs. Lois Cummins, Mrs. Bonnie Pitts, and Marcia and Terri, all of this village; a brother, Fremont of Kenton; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Burris was an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad prior to his retirement because of illness. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
