In Loving Memory
Shirely Ann Pleake
5/21/1935 - 11/21/2009
Shirley Ann Pleake born May 21, 1935 in Dallas, TX. to the home of Louise Wade passed away at her home in Gun Barrel City, TX. November 21, 2009.

For a short time Shirley and her husband Cliff owned and operated a donut shop in Mabank. She decided that if a kitchen stove were added to their donut shop that they could cook and sell carryout lunches to the down town business employees. With Shirley's friendly and out-going personality the lunch business quickly out grew the small donut shop. They then moved to down town Mabank and opened Shirley's Café, which she ran for ten years. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 36 years Clifford "Cliff" Pleake, of Gun Barrel City, children Janet Bovis of Dallas, Philip Bovis Sr. and his wife Karen of Forney, Carolyn Jeffery of Dallas, brother Hollis Ragland, sister Linda Olsen Dallas, Gloria Yarbrough of Gun Barrel City, 7 grandchildren Philip Jr., Kim, Cassie, Jeremy, Melissa, Courtney, Dylan, 5 great grandchildren and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by a son Steve Bovis, and daughter Rene Janes. Graveside funeral services were held November 25, 2009 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Sunnyvale, TX.
