W. A. Barr

William Andrew (Andy) Barr, 84, of 103 East 15th street died at his home Thursday afternoon, Nov. 4, 1976.

Services will be held at the Wise Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with Masonic services. Burial will be in Willow Wild.

Mr. Barr had been a member of Constantine Lodge, No. 13, AF&AM 63 years and had served as secretary for the past 25 years.

He had served as Master of the lodge on two occasions and as Deputy District Grand Master.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Mr. Barr retired as an employee of the city water department some three years ago after working for the city more than 25 years.

He was born Sept. 23, 1892, at Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Smith Barr, and had lived in Fannin county all of his life.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clive Barr of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Mairetta Dowd of Brownwood; two brothers, Roy and Loyd Barr, both of Bonham; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Coldiron of Richardson, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Masons will serve as pallbearers.

Member of the family will be at the funeral home tonight between 7 and 8:30 o'clock.
