Notary. His admission into the Chamber of notaries took place on February 3, 1862. He served as clerk of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1868 to 1900. Also, he was an militia officer with the rank of major. He commanded the Provisional Battalion of Dorchester of the Militia, precursor of the current « Régiment de la Chaudière » (-the « Chauds »-) of which he was also the first official commanding officer. One finds his name in some of the chronicles "Glanures lévisiennes" by the historian Pierre-Georges Roy. Deceased of an infarctus at his residence in Lévis.
