He commanded the Provisional Battalion of Dorchester of the Militia, precursor of the current « Régiment de la Chaudière » (-the « Chauds »-) of which he was also the first official commanding officer. One finds his name in some of the chronicles "Glanures lévisiennes" by the historian Pierre-Georges Roy. Deceased of an infarctus at his residence in Lévis.
