Mrs. Rosa May Holland, the beloved wife of John D. Holland, died at their home on route 2, Horton Saturday. She had been afflicted with heart trouble for a number of years and it was one of the attacks that proved fatal at an early hour Saturday morning.

Mrs. Holland was 59 years of age and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

The deceased is survived by her husband, four sons, Thomas Holland, of route 1, Walnut Grove; Ollie Holland, Virgil Holland and Walter Holland, all of route 2, Horton; five daughters, Misses Lena and Evelyn Holland, of route 2, Horton; Mrs. Vena Jackson, Mrs. Willie Wheeler, and Mrs. Edna Jackson, all of route 1, Walnut Grove; two brothers, Gus Brasseale, of route 1, Quinton and K.K. Brasseale, of Haleyville; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Gunter, of route 2, Horton; Mrs. Bob Davis, of Holly Pond, and Mrs. G.F. Holland, of Birmingham.

The funeral services were held at Zion Hill Sunday and were conducted by Rev. J.E. Yancey and Rev. B.F. Moon. Talks were also made by G.A. Gilliland, Rev. R.A. Tuck, and T.G. Burgett. Pruitt was in charge.
