Loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, LeeAnn Kalt Whatcott, born August 18, 1950, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009 as the result of a household accident, after many years of struggle with chronic health problems.


The daughter of Ron and Shirley Kalt, she graduated from Skyline High School and Robert Stuer College of Beauty.


Married Louis Whatcott in the Salt Lake Temple on January 17, 1969. An accomplished artist and floral designer, for Pearson Floral, she produced many wonderful works of art and floral arrangements. She directed the artwork for many church plays and decorations for dances. She taught many craft classes for Relief Society and MIA. Unable to have children she acted as a surrogate mother for many.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Kalt. She is survived by her husband, Louis Whatcott; father, Ronald Kalt (Kaneohe, HI); sisters, Bridget Tartaro (Bristol, RI), Lydia Kalt and Stephanie Kalt (Kaneohe, HI); and numerous nieces and nephews. Her sweet and loving spirit will be remembered by friends and family with great fondness.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in the Ridgedale Ward Chapel, 3400 South 1100 East, Millcreek Township, at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held on Monday evening, December 28, 2009 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will take place in Latona Park at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East).
