She was born January 6, 1904 in Bradley County, a daughter of the late Robert F. and Della Thompson Baker.
Mrs. Hughes was a housewife, a member of the First United Methodist Church and Chapter AF, PEO Sisterhood.
Survivors include: two sisters Willie Griffin and Sarah Rowe, both of Warren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 28, at Frazer's Funeral Home with Rev. John Dill officiating.
Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Burnett, Gerald Burton, Buddy McCaskill, Floyd Reep, Herbert McKinney, Bill Ford, Bill Binns, and Steve Simmons."
