Blanch Elizabeth was born to Thomas Lemons and Mary Ann Rhea Lemons. She married John Monroe Cox on April 15, 1880 in Bado, Texas, Missouri. They moved to Oregon County in 1888 and two years later located on the farm which beared the appropriate title of "North View". The farm faced some twenty miles to the north over the valley of Frederick. The area where the family lived in early 1900 was Oak Grove Township, Oregon County. They moved to Texas sometime in the 1900's. The Cox homeplace was 631 5th Street in Megargel, Archer, Texas. They had eight children, Myrtle May Cox, Otis Abraham Cox, Grover Cleveland Cox, Perry Elgan Cox, Finas Welker Cox, Carlton Edward Cox, Edley Wilbur Cox, Orval Monroe Cox.
