BEN J. MATTINGLY, EX-CONTRACTOR, DIES. - Ben J. Mattingly, a building contractor here for many years before he retired five years ago, died about 10 a.m. Monday at a doctor's office on Dixie Highway. Mattingly, 70, who had been under a doctor's care, died of a heart attack, the doctor said. Mattingly lived for many years in the 2200 block of Dumesnil. He moved to Eastview in Hardin County when he retired. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James Phillips, Mrs. Helen Dumeyer, and Mrs. Margaret Lee; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Abell, Lebanon, Ky., Mrs. Bess Ewing, Decatur, IL., and Mrs. Rose Logsdon; two brothers, Robert Mattingly, San Benito, Tex., and Rollie Mattingly, Akron, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be at Ratterman's, 2114 W. Market, after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Mattingly is at Ratterman's, 2114 W. Market St. Funeral 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Benedict Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
