Funeral for Gloria Anne Riggs, 70, formerly of Hartselle, will be Friday, January 15, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bo Seagrist officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riggs, who died Monday, January 11, 2010, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, was born February 7, 1939, in Jefferson County to Travis Washington Jones and Evelyn Earline Gilley Jones. She was a member of Oasis of Praise Church. Her husband, Tommy Riggs, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Tommy Hal Riggs of Decatur, Jimmy Riggs of Trinity and Tim King of Birmingham; six daughters, Susan McAbee Smith and Karen Hopkins, both of Hartselle, Sharon Riggs, of Atlanta, Ga., Gloria "Tootie" Smith and Kathy Wilson, both of Birmingham, and Jada Hosey of McCalla; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
