Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Hacker, 82, of Muncie, IN, passed away Saturday, December 05, 2009 at Muncie Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 6, 1927 in Rushville, IN to the late Georgie Marion and Sarah A. (Gibbs) Ruble.
Libby was a homemaker all of her life. She was also a member of Pilgrim Holiness. At church she also played the accordion, guitar, and sang. In addition, Libby also loved animals and children. She was a dog breeder. Above all, Libby loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Libby is survived by daughter-in-law Connie Hacker of Muncie, IN; 3 grandchildren: Joel Hacker; Aron Hacker (wife: Alycia); and Amanda Campbell; 2 great-grandchildren: Callin Campbell and Anson Everett; step-daughters: Edna Mae Hammond (husband: Carl) of Clarksburg, IN and Ethelene Ridge (husband: Gene) of GA; brothers: Charles Ruble (wife: Carmen) of Clarksburg, IN and Edgar Ruble of Clarksburg, IN; step-brothers: Daniel Robbins (wife: Katie) of Montpelier, IN and Marshall Robbins of Marion, IN; step-sisters: Bernice Uncapher of Hartford City, IN and Evelyn Whitesell (husband: Bud) of Huntington, IN; 12 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Libby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett Hacker; son Trevor Allen Hacker; step-son Delbert Hacker; sister Violet Hersley; brothers: William Ruble and Marion Ruble; and step-sisters: Carol Robbins and Dorothy "Dot" Baker.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Reverend Stephen Clemens will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
