Howard met his future bride, Doris Fricke, during a flight to NY. He was the passenger and she was the "hostess" with TWA. WWII interrupted their budding romance as Howard became a POW in Germany. Their paths crossed again years later and they were married in June 1948. They went on to have 5 children, 5 grandchildren & several great grandchildren.
