Mrs. Ermal J. McCane, 88 a resident of Lewis County, died at 10:25 p.m. Thursday. She had been ill for several months and died in the home of a son, James McCane of Rt. 5, Vanceburg. Mrs. McCane was a native of Lewis County and the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Vaughn Kennedy. Her birthdate was October 5, 1893. She was the widow of Henry McCane who died in 1950.In addition to her previously mentioned son. she is survived by four other children who are Sanford McCane of Rt.5 Vanceburg. Naman McCane and Mrs.Everett Walje,Mrs. Marjorie Caseman of Las Vegas.
She also leaves behind 30 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
