Hiram Herschel Logan was the son of Samuel Jasper Logan and Emirilla Casandra Bruton. His death certificate states that he was born in Christian Co., MO, but the family lived in Brookline Township, Greene Co., MO in the 1880 census. By 1900 they had moved to Aurora, MO. Hiram married Jessie E Frazier, daughter of Cooper and Olivia (Manning) Frazier on 1 Mar, 1903, near Osa, in Barry Co. MO. In the 1910 census he and his family lived in Buck Prairie, Lawrence Co., MO. and in the 1920 and 1930 censuses they lived in Crane Creek Township, Barry Co., MO. The children of Hiram and Jessie were : Gladys (1904), Ina (1909), Vera (1913) Elmer (1914) and Zelma (1914). Before his marriage Hiram worked as a zinc miner. Afterward, he was employed in general farming. He died in Aurora in 1958. His daughter Ina was informant on his death certificate.
