Margaret Eleanor Pratt Brinton, of Cape May Court House, N.J., formerly of West Chester, went home with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008.
She was the wife of Marshall "Ed" Brinton, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.
Born on April 7, 1934, to the late Kathryn Helen and Arthur Drexel Pratt, she graduated from Unionville High School in 1952. She was employed by F.W. Woolworth and Schramm Inc., where she met and married her beloved husband, Ed.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Unionville Grange, a past matron and member of Eastern Star Chapter #352 of West Chester, and a Girl Scout leader of Troop #1044.
Her interests included bowling and singing. Her beautiful voice was always welcome. She was a loyal fan of the 76ers and Eagles teams. "Marge" truly enjoyed eating her meals out, most famously breakfast at Bob's in Wildwood, N.J. She'd have the "usual."
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Dana A Brinton of West Chester and Brenda L Brinton and husband Vincent Miele, of Downingtown; and her grandson, Marshall Vincent Brinton-Miele. Also, she is survived by her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Pratt, from Valrico, Fla.; and her mother-in-law, Anna C Brinton "Nana."
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Pratt and Edward Pratt of West Chester.
Funeral services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church of West Chester, 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, where friends and family may call between 10 and 11 a.m.
Interment will be at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery in West Chester.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Exchange Club of West Chester.
