Thomas Hess, husband of the late Mary J. Hess, of West Run Road, Munhall, died Tuesday morning, May 31 1938, in his 82 year of life.

One of the pioneer residents of the Homestead district, Mr Hess was born at Altoona, Pa., but had resided in this district since he was 8 years of age. He had engaged in agricultural pursuits all his life.

A member of St. Teresa's R.C. Church, Homestead Park, the deceased is survived by five sons, Anthony Hess of Homeville, Joseph S. Hess at home, J Florance Hess of Lincoln Place, Milton T. Hess of Whitaker and Howard J. Hess of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Mrs Anna M Hays of Homestead and Mrs Emma Maresch of Munhall. He also leaves 30 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the late home, West Run Road, Munhall with time of funeral and other arrangements to be announced later.
