Ola Lillian Smith was born in Oct 1863 at Sanford, Broome Co, NY, the daughter of Heman T. Smith and his second wife Mary LNU. She and her younger sister Sadie were raised by their step-mother Amanda McHenry.

She married Mr. William Benjamin Adams in 1885 in Tompkins, Delaware Co, NY, the second of five children born to the union of of Ebenezer Cheney Adams and Nancy Owens.

William and Ola had twelve children: Albert M., Katherine "Kittie", Charles Edgar, Julia, Louise, Isabella, Ruth, Elizabeth, Ralph S., William Benjamin Jr., Eleanor H. and Nancy Olga.

William, a merchant, died in 1911 in Tompkins, Delaware Co, NY, in the sixty-second year of his life.

Circa 1912, Ola married Mr. Andrew Hector Schriver, the widower of Alice E. Vanakin who left him with four children; Mabel, Ruth, William G. and June Vanakin.

Ola was listed as the Postmistress of Tompkins, Delaware Co, NY in the 1930 census and Andrew was listed as a merchant of a general store, he was a dairy farmer prior to that.

Ola died in 1938 in Tompkins, Delaware Co, NY, in the seventy-fifth year of her life.

She was originally buried in the Cannonsville Cemetery, Cannonsville, Delaware Co, NY, but her remains were disinterred and were removed to Laurel Hill Cemetery in 1963, during the construction of the Cannonsville Reservoir, under the direction of Mrs. Leland B. (Ruth Adams) Boyd, Ola's relationship to her was listed as Mother.
