Ira Howell Hearn was born in 1862 the oldest of three children to Abram and Easter (Davis) Hearn. He married Mary R. Windham on Oct. 16, 1893. The family had two children; Charlie and Laura. Howell passed away on Nov. 9, 1938 in Chatham County, leaving his wife, two children and nine of his ten grandchildren behind. In some records, the name was spelled Hearne. He has a double headstone with his wife. The cemetery is located 0,7 south of US 64 at Wilsonville. This is a reinterment site, 197 grave markers and 99 unkown graves were reintered from Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery to here when the lake was built.
