Edna Mae Hare of Grand Junction passed away on April 17, 2009 with her loving daughter, Patricia; grandson, Mark; son-in-law, Herb and close family friend, Jean Border at her side. She was 91 years of age. Edna was born August 28, 1917 at Gilberton, PA to Clarence and Katherine Nicewinter Pettit. She married Wilfred L. Hare on December 27, 1946. He preceded her in death. Edna was a homemaker and will be greatly missed by her family and friends as she always put them first in her life. She enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, watching soap operas and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a 20 year resident of Grand Junction. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Hare of Grand Junction and Winifred Pucci (Henry) of Lansdowne, PA; two daughters-in-law, Francis Gromalski of FL and Delores Gromalski of PA; two sons-in-law, Harold Clemens of PA and Herbert Hoover of Grand Junction; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Her parents; her sister, June Heaton; three daughters, Carol Clemens, Edna Gromalski and Elizabeth Hoover; three sons, Joseph Gromalski, Robert Gromalski and William Gromalski all preceded her in death. As per Edna's request, cremation has taken place and no public service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado at P. O. Box 60307, Grand Junction, CO 81506 or Veterans Affairs Medical Center at 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
