Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Whitford Burch were held February 8, 1962 at the New Home Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. She was found dead in bed on February 7 when her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Mae Guntharp, went to awaken her. She was 80 years of age. She had lived at her home in the Clay Community for 58 years. She was the widow of the late George Burch. She was a member of the New Home Baptist Church.
She leaves four sons, Fred Burch of Fulton, Elmer Burch of Zion, Ill., Webster Burch of Guntown and Noel Burch of Birmingham, Ala.; three daughters, Miss Etta Burch and Mrs. Ethel Mae Guntharp of the home, and Mrs. David Beard of Fulton; a brother, Claud Lunceford of Fulton; and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Chamblee of Fulton, Mrs. Minnie Kuykendall of Smithville and Mrs. Vistie Johnson of Fulton.
