Sister Miriam Agnes O'Leary 76 of the Sisters of St Joseph St Francis Convent, Warwick, RI died Monday in the convent.
Sr O'Leary taught at Holy Name School in Springfield, Holy Rosary School in Holyoke, St Stephen's School, Sacred Heart School in Gardner, St Joseph's School in Leicester and St Francis School in Warwick.
She entered the order from St Bernard's Parish 54 years ago.
She attended Ascension School was a graduate of Elms Academy in Chicopee and received her bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee. She attended workshops in religious education at Stonehill College and Fordham University.
She leaves a brother John O'Leary of Worcester and a sister Helen Stark of Hampton, NH.
Another brother, Rev Dennis O'Leary of Hampton, NH died 22 May.
Born in Worcester she was known in secular life as Catherine O'Leary, daughter of Dennis & Catherine (O'Brien) O'Leary.
The funeral will be held at 8 a.m. tomorrow at the Motherhouse at Mont Marie, Holyoke with a mass at 9 a.m. in the chapel of the Sisters of St Joseph, Mont Marie. Burial will be in Mont Marie Cemetery.
