MEMPHIS, June 1 - Funeral services for the Rev. Arthur Vinson Hendricks, 82, retired Methodist Minister, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the First Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. J.E. Thompson, pastor of the church.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under direction of Spicer Funeral Home.
The Rev. Mr. Hendricks died about 4 p.m. today today in Goodall Hospital. He lived at 315 N. 15th. He was born Sept. 22, 1880, in Athens, Ala., and had been a resident of Hall County since 1936.
He was married to Mary Emma Williams, on Sept. 10, 1911 in Fort Worth. The Rev. Mr. Hendricks moved to Texas in 1902. He served as pastor at several churches, including those at Newlin, Wheeler, Tolbert, Hedley, Turkey and Estelline.
Surviving are his wife of Memphis; a son, J.H. of Abilene; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Gilliam of Memphis and Mrs. J.B. Phipps of Houston; a brother, Lindsey of San Antonio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
