MEMPHIS - Abbie "Happy" Kennon, 82, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Tom Posey and the Rev. O.K. Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kennon was born in Quanah and lived in Memphis the past 66 years. She was a homemaker and member of the Rebekah Lodge and First Christian Church.

She married Lawrence Kennon in 1934 at Memphis. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include five daughters, Betty Jarrel of Memphis, Jo Ann Williamson of Panhandle, Patsy Youree of Pampa, Shirley Dunn of Clovis, N.M., and Carolene Young of Blackfoot, Idaho; a son, Lawrence Kennon of Perryton; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be to a favorite charity or Fairview Cemetery Association.
