She was born Feb. 3, 1873 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of John and Annie Dyer. She came to Newton with her parents at an early age, and lived here her entire life. She had four husbands. John Russell, 1870/1896, Ernest McDaniel, 1902/1918 and Thomas George 1875/1960, and Arthur Grandy. Exact order not known.
Children: Russell -- Rosa Clara, Carrie, Bernies, Emma and John Carl

McDaniel -- Nellie Lillian and Clyde Ernest
