Athens - Funeral for C. W. "Charlie" Adams, 82, of Athens was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Don Miller officiating. Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Adams died Monday, January 10, 2000, at his home. He was born October 5, 1917, in Marshall County, Kentucky.
He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, where he was a choir member and Sunday school teacher. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a Mason, a former Kentucky colonel and a retired TVA payroll officer.
He is survived by his wife, Oneida F. Adams; one son, Harold Adams of Mayfield, Ky; one daughter, Janice Keeling of Mayfield, Ky.; three sisters, Hilda Jones of Mayfield, Mary Null of Marblehill, MO, and Lurlene Reitermann of Atlanta; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Married Oneida Fowler on November 23, 1950, Humphreys Co, TN.
