Sister Davis accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour in early womanhood and united with C.P. Church. She lived an upright Christian life. Many of the latter years of her life were years of affliction and great suffering, naturally leading her to expect and prepare for death and the future. When the end came she was peaceful and resigned. She was among the pioneers of that part of the country, having spent most of her life in the community where she died. Her life was truly a home life; the Christian influence of which left its imprints for food upon the hearts and lives of her children and neighbors. Her death means the breaking up of a home of almost half a century and points to the rapidly passing old landmarks of the churchand the community. Her funeral service was largely attended by her kindred and neighbors and her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at the Baptist Church near Sulphur Springs, Ark.
