TEAMWAY WORKER CRUSHED TO DEATH

James H. Sturns, 40, was crushed to death at noon Monday in the material yards of Denver Tramway Company at Fourteenth and Platte Streets. He was attempting to couple a caboose to a car loaded with cement, according to fellow workmen, when the coupling slipped from his hands and struck him in the chest, hurling his body against the car of cement.

The man was dead when the police surgeon reached him.

Sturns was married and resided at 1118 West Forty-First Avenue.
