DAVIS-- Mrs. Erville Bernice , wife of Buckley Davis and a native resident of the Sand Springs and west Tulsa areas, passed away Saturday, November 7, 1998 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on July 18, 1928, the daughter of Edward Newton and Cora Lee Dodd, in Tulsa.

She attended Daniel Webster High School and worked in the accounting departments for Sun Oil Company and Safeway Stores for many years. She and Calvin J. Starr were united in marriage in January, 1946. She and Calvin started the Calvin Starr Truck Leasing Company in 1966 and operated it until his death in 1985.

She and Buckley Davis were united in marriage in July, 1992 and have made their home in Sand Springs. Mrs. Davis was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and an active member of the Church and Praise Age Choir, a Past Worthy Matron of Red Fork Eastern Star Lodge #394 and a past sponsor and mother advisor of the Red Fork Rainbow Girls.
