GEORGE EDWARD BUCK
---George Edward Buck, 80, of Route 1, Kirksville died unexpectedly Thursday morning at 5:30 in his home.
---The son of John Henry and Bethy (Siders) Buck, he was born in Macon county on Nov. 7. 1885. On March 1, 1910 in Macon he married Mary E. Shumaker who survives.
---Also surviving are one son, Leonard Buck of LaPlata; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Bailey of LaPlata; four brothers, Alden Buck and Noel Buck, both of rural LaPlata, Bernice Buck of Topeka, Kan., and Lloyd Buck of Kansas City; three sisters, Mrs. John (Celia) Kramer of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Paul (Mable) Sever and Mrs. Noah (Beulah) Furgason of Omaha, Neb., three grandsons, one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
---He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Buck, three brothers and one sister.
---Mr. Buck had spent his entire life in Macon and Adair counties where he was engaged in farming before his retirement.
---Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in the LaPlata Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde McCollum of South Gifford officiating. Burial will be in the LaPlata cemetery. The body is at the McCollum Funeral Home in South Gifford where it will remain until the funeral hour.
---Bearers will be: Virgil Buck, Weaver Bragg, Wendell Curtis, Junior Curtis, Harold Gray and Randall Roberts.
