He was married Nov. 4, 1939, in Indianapolis to the former Katheryn Mosbaugh, who also surives.
A Hamilton County resident for 12 years, Mcgrew lived most of his life in Iowa.
He was a pipe fitter. McGrew was a member of Pryor Creek Masonic Lodge No. 100 in Pryor, Okla., and the Scottish Rite in McAlester, Okla.
Other survivors include two sons, Patrick of Canton, Mich., and Dennis of Lincoln Park, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
