Mrs. Anna Marie "Ann" Wolfinger, 74, 325 N. Fifth Ave.,
Altoona, went home to the Father Wednesday afternoon, Aug 20, 2003, at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Altoona, daughter of the late Ira and Marie (Hauck) McManamy. She married Ralph E. Wolfinger June 19, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church Juniata. He preceeded her in death in 1997.
Mrs Wolfinger retired in 2002 from the Altoona Police Department, School Guard Division with 48 years of active service. Her last position was at Juniata Elementary School, from the time it opened until she retired. She received the "Excellence in Education Award" from the Altoona Area School District in 1999 for her dedication
to duty and supportive involvement with the faculty and students.
She is survived by three children: Dennis(his wife, Shirley), of Altoona, "Deborah" Ann of Luther, Iowa and Deanna Wilson(her husband,Dennis), with whom she resided; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
