On Dec. 22, 1937, she and Ishmel Davis were united in marriage in Hayes, Kan., and made their first home there. In 1942, she moved to Ponca City from Kansas. She was employed with J.C. Penney's and retired with over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in the Relief Society of the church. She shared her talents of candy making and taught everyone how to make the famous divinity Easter Eggs, which the church sold as a fund raiser. She also shared her talent of gardening with everyone who came her way.
She had two devoted sons, W.E. "Bud" Richardson of Wichita and Darrel Davis of Ponca City; one daughter, Betty Fehrenbacher of St. John, Kan.
She had 3 sisters, Mary Halley, Elsie Schultz and Dortha Curtis, all of St. John.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.
She was a surrogate grandmother to many and taught me how to make cinnamon rolls. She filled our hearts with love, kindness, and joy.
