John E. Berryman, 84, of Route 1, Estelline, died Tuesday in a nursing home at Lubbock.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Estelline with the pastor, Rev. Elvis Pitts, officiating. Burial will be in the Hulver Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis.
Mr. Berryman was born Dec. 21, 1886, in Arkansas. He and Hattie Davenport were married Dec. 6, 1906, at Oakman, Okla., and mover to Hall County in the Parnell Community in 1916. She preceded him in death May 1, 1966.
A retired farmer, Mr. Berryman was a member of the First Baptist Church in Estelline.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lilly S. Tyree of Ada, Okla.; three sons, Carroll L. of Lubbock, J.E. of Seattle, Wash., and Joe L. of Minneapolis, Minn.; two brothers, Lester Berryman and Jess Berryman, both of Ada; one sister, Mrs. Zora Lee of Ada; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren an [sic] one great-great-grandchild.
