Sue Scott, 72, of the Shawtown community died 6:26 p.m. Jan. 10, 2010, at the home of her sister, Annie Quinn, also of Shawtown.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Grimsley officiating. Burial will follow in Star of Bethlehem Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Russell Blassingame, Jimmy Quinn, Monroe Quinn, Jeremy Quinn, Christopher Quinn and Jake Quinn.
She was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Mississippi, daughter of the late Audie Riley and Eva Pauline (Peters) Blassingame. She married Gene Scott March 24, 1958. He died June 5, 2003.
She was a retired employee of the former Reelfoot Packing Co. in Union City and was a member of Star of Bethlehem Assembly of God.
She is also survived by two other sisters, Willie Horn of Pulaski and Joyce Cunningham of Hickman, Ky.; her brother, Stanley Blassingame of Shawtown; and four nieces and five nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Maxine Blassingame.
