Funeral Services for Nicholas D. "Nick" Boone IV, 77 of Bernice, LA, will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bernice, LA., with Rev. Phillip Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Farmerville, LA.
Mr. Boone was born on May 12, 1932 in Brunswick, GA., and passed away on January 18, 2010 in Bernice, LA. He was a retired Lt. Colonel of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Wendell United Methodist Church in Wendell, NC. and attended Shiloh Baptist Church in Bernice, LA., he also enjoyed cruising in his boat on the coast of NC and VA.
Survivors include his wife Ann Buckley Boone of Bernice, LA; son, Jerry D. Boone of Savannah, GA; daughter, Sandra Findley of Savannah GA; son, Nicholas D. Boone Jr. of Clayton, NC; son David Boone of Savannah, GA; daughter, Deborah Flowers of Black Creek, GA; daughter, Penny Boone of Raleigh, NC; son Brian D. Boone of Postfalls, Idaho; step-daughter, Linda K. Robinson of Hampton, VA; sister, Martha Taft of Millen, GA; 11 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, 6 great -great grandchildren and 1 step great- great granddaughter.
Pallbearers are Don Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Johnny Buckley, James Buckley, Larry Green, and Donnie Grafton.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the church.
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church.
